Collaborative Projects Between Voluntary and Community Sector OrganisationsStratford Community House
The Foundation has facilitated a partnership between Holy Trinity Anglican Parish, Stratford based community organisations, the Taranaki Anglican Trust Board and the Stratford District Council. This partnership has enabled the creation of a Stratford Community House which provides huge benefits to community organisations as well as enabling the Parish to make an enormous contribution to the health and well-being of the Stratford community. The community house opened in March 2011and is managed by its own Trust.
Taiohi Oranga (Hawera)
The Foundation worked with a range of youth focused South Taranaki service providers, including the Youth Transition Service, Family Works and Workwise Employment Agency, to develop a social service hub that will enable collaborative service delivery from shared accommodation. A partnership with the local Methodist Church in Hawera provided access to a suitable building and funding for the renovation and fit out of the centre was kindly donated by the KUPE Joint Venture. Taiohi Oranga opened in mid-2010.
